Williams Lake, B.C.- Residents of Williams Lake and the Cariboo Regional District will have a chance later today to see the latest concept drawings for the Sam Ketcham Pool upgrades.

An open house is  slated for 3-6 pm at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex at which time residents can  meet with the design consulting team, the project managers and representatives from the Cariboo Regional District and the City of Williams Lake.

The project  has an estimated cost of $11.3 million  dollars and would see up to $10 million borrowed over a 20 year period.  Just last week,  the Federal Government  announced $500 thousand dollars in funding for the project which will see a new ‘lap pool’  inside the existing building,  a water slide,  a large family hot pool,  additions to the second floor and change rooms,  and upgrades to the pool mechanical and electrical systems.
