Charges Laid in Detachment Fire Incident

Prince George, B.C. – Charges have officially been laid in relation to the fire incident in the holding cells at the Prince George RCMP detachment last month.
Police say the July 26 fire was started in a mattress in one of the cells, forcing the evacuation of all persons in the building, including the prisoners in the cell block.
43 year old Daryl B. Tom of Prince George is facing 7 arson related charges. He’s been remanded in custody at least until his next court appearance scheduled for September 9th.
