Prince George, B.C.- RCMP are on scene at the TD bank  in the shopping complex   on the south side of Domano  in Prince George  following a hold up at that bank.

RCMP say the call came in around 2:25 this afternoon.  A lone male  wearing a mask  entered the bank  and  produced what appeared  to be a hand gun.  He got some cash, and fled the scene.

Police are on scene, the area has been cordoned  off and  police are actively searching for a suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Approximately 173 cm (5’8″)
  • Very short hair
  • Wearing a light grey hoody, dark grey pants, sunglasses and running shoes with bright green tape & orange soles.

This investigation is currently active and continuing. Anyone who locates the suspect is urged not to approach him and to call 9-1-1 immediately.   If you have information on the suspect, who he might be or where he might be, please call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.

Hoodies should be outlawed. All crimes are committed by a person wearing a hoodie.

Hand guns are outlawed and yet they still seem to appear…

Nope. That’s a dumb idea. I think there should be a hoodie registry.

The other cute part of this story is that it appears that a cruiser responding to the robbery smashed into a citizen’s vehicle just in front of the police station.

Let’s chop something off , so he can’t multiply!

Says he was wearing runners, maybe they should be outlawed too…… And sumglasses, lol. Ditto on the ” stupid idea”

Summit, this is quite true. That’s going to be an awkward work conversation for that police officer later, seeing as three other cruisers responded to her crash.

I’m sure that officer crashed because we don’t have enough robberies and other similar crimes so she doesn’t get enough practice in rapid response.

That can be an awkward parking lot to get out of. You’d think the robbers could’ve found a more suitable place for a quick get away. ;)

where is the camera footage? should post it

He got some cash. Great. What really pisses off the RCMP is the TD and the rest have a policy to acquiesce to robbers demands. Hit the floor and go prone. If they are willing to give up the loot as easy as they do, why phone the cops? Or, they could put in the remote locking door sets which have been in use in Scotland for many years so the perp can’t get out.
Check out the history of bank robberies in Montreal. If you hear a siren, throw your weapon a long ways away, lie down on the floor quickly and the SVPM might not put 30 rounds in you. Pointing a weapon at someone there is a death sentence. Bit more civilized then here…

Hand guns are outlawed? prohibited maybe not outlawed

Contractor, your comments are off base. Bank Tellers have a limited amount of cash in their tills and in the event of a hold up, they are instructed to give the perpetrator what he/she asks for. In this way the risk of endangering yourself, your fellow employees or customers in the Bank is mitigated.

That’s my bank and I’ll tell you this much, the tellers there do not have a till. Every time I ask for cash they have to go into my account via my card and then get the money from a machine behind themselves.

I wonder if he got anything at all?

Maybe they have a little bag of cash hidden away to hand over, I dunno.

Hand guns aren’t outlawed, but some are prohibited.

Speaking of the crash downtown in front of the precinct as a result of the response to the hold-up, did anyone notice who was basically first on scene? Mr. Doherty. He’s now as bad as one of the ambulance chasing lawyers in the US you hear about.

Votes aren’t won handing out your card at the scene of an accident Mr. Doherty, you just look a fool.

^ LOL, Doherty went to the scene of an accident. That’s just too much.
