Prince George, B.C.- A suspicious death in Prince George is  being investigated as a  homicide.The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit  says  the deceased male was  located near the end of Haldi Road in Prince George on Sunday  morning.

Although cause of death has yet to be determined, police are treating this investigation as a Homicide. The Detachment’s Serious Crime and Forensic Identification Sections have been called in.

The deceased has been identified as 35 year old Ian Matthew Begg of Prince George.

Investigators are hoping to speak to anyone who had contact with Begg over the past several days  as well as  those who can offer insite to Begg’s  habits and whereabouts  during the  same   time period.

• 178 cm (5’10”)
• 96 kg (212 lbs)
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes

The investigation has  caused the need to close part of  Haldi Road.  That  area is expected to be off limits for an extended period of time.
