Cougars Set to Host Training Camp
Prince George, B.C.- It’s the time WHL hockey hopefuls have been waiting for.
The Prince George Cougars are getting set to welcome over 100 players and their families for training camp this weekend.
Camp begins today with off ice testing for all returning players and 2015-16 prospects at UNBC.
It then opens up at noon Friday for all players and goes until Monday evening.
Following last year’s first playoff appearance in four years, the Cats can’t wait to get going.
“There definitely is an excitement in the air in the City of Prince George,” says Cougars general manager Todd Harkins. “Last season the Prince George Cougars took a big step forward getting back to the playoffs, and now it’s all about continuing our positive momentum.”
Following registration Friday, the 1999 and 2000 born players will take to the ice for a Young Guns Game at 4:00pm at CN Centre.
That will be followed by more games all day Saturday and Sunday before all remaining players lace up their skates for a Black vs White Intra-squad game Monday night at 7:00pm.
Admission to all games is free.
