Fire Training at YXS
Prince George, B.C.- Should you see columns of thick black smoke rising from the area of the Prince George Airport today, there is no need for alarm.

As part of on going fire training, and certification, the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) will be conducting aviation related fires in the fire training area of YXS today, and again next week.
The first bout of training is set to take place this morning from 11:30 and last till 1 p.m.
The second day of training is set for next Tuesday (Sept 8th).
The fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas.
So should you see smoke, there is no need for concern.
