Donations Adding Up for Wildfire Victims

Prince George, B.C. – It’s been just over a week and a half since the BC Liquor stores started collecting donations for families in need in the Rock Creek and Oliver areas who were hit hard by wildfires this summer.
Between August 19th when the program was launched, and the end of the month, nearly $85 thousand dollars had been donated by folks going through the checkouts at the BC Liquor stores.
Donations collected at the Prince George branches make up a fraction of that total, with a total of $675 dollars donated at the three locations.
The donation program wraps up at the end of this week. All donations will be turned over to the Red Cross to assist the wildfire victims.
