Back to School at CNC
Prince George, B.C. – Orientation is in full swing at the College of New Caledonia campus in Prince George today.
Thousands of students are busy taking advantage of a toonie barbecue, the live music of local rock/reggae band Highball Riot, and free swag.
And judging by the size of the line-ups, it’s shaping up to be another big year on campus.
“As of two weeks ago the school estimates enrollment is just over 3,300 students with another 300 international students,” said spokesperson Matt Partyka. “With the exception of the carpentry program (just 3 seats left open) most trades are predominantly at capacity.”
He said the same goes for Health Sciences except for the Med Lab program, which runs intakes until January.
Second year nursing student Christopher Wondgda joked he was glad to be back on campus.
“It’s pretty good to be back. It brings structure to my life again which is always good.”
