Woman charged in Ft. St. John Death
Fort St. John, B.C.- A 24 year old Ft. St. John woman is facing a charge of 2nd degree murder in the death of a 51 year old Ft. St. John man.RCMP say they had stopped a white pick up truck in Taylor Sunday night, a female driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
The police investigation led them to find the body of the registered owner of the vehicle, 51 year old Kirk Morin, on the easement at Cherry Street and the Alaska Highway in Taylor.
Charged with second degree murder is 24 year old Lisa Miel of Ft. St. John. She has made a brief court appearance and has been remanded in custody until her next court appearance which is scheduled for September 28th.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious between a male and female between 7 and 11 pm or anyone who saw a white Dodge duelly pick-up in Taylor on Sunday night to contact them at 250-787-8100.
