Skate Park Workshop Tonight
Prince George, B.C.- A workshop aimed at coming up with ideas for a design of a skate park in Corporal Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park is set for this evening. The park has been suggested as the preferred site for a facility where skateboarders can practice their hobby. While there is a skate park in P.G,. its location across from the YMCA on Massey Drive does not make it easily accessible for youth in the Hart.
The City of Prince George is partnering with the Hart Community Association and Rotary in Prince George to come up with some concept designs but wants to hear from the public.
Tonight’s design workshop is slated to start at 6:30 at the Hart Pioneer Centre and roll through to 8:30. The workshop is being held by New Line Skateparks Inc, the same company that designed the Massey Drive skatepark.

What a great thing to be doing for our youth in PG and the Hart Highway!
This is something that is sorely needed in the Hart, though it would be a bit out of the way at that location. I am concerned that little kids might not feel safe there, and that the relative isolation will lead to an unsavoury element . Ballparks nearby, Elks centre nearby, Heather Park School nearby, but the Cpl. Fitzpatrick park is kind off in a corner.

It definitely must be in an open location like the one across from the YMCA! These are strange, weird and dangerous times! Don’t put it where it is semi concealed! There are plenty of more suitable locations!
Why don’t they put it on that empty chunk of land for sale beside the Husky across from the scales?
