Two Arrested and Fentanyl Seized
Prince Rupert, B.C. – Two people from Kitimat have been arrested in Prince Rupert and face drug related charges following a joint investigation of Kitimat and Prince Rupert RCMP.
Two weeks ago, Prince Rupert RCMP arrested a man and woman in relation to an alleged assault that had occurred in Kitimat.
The arrests led police to the seizure of more than 1,200 tablets containing heroin and fentanyl.
In addition to the drugs, over $12,000 in cash was seized.

Jagdev “Dave” Uppal, spokesperson for the Prince Rupert RCMP. There has been one death earlier this year in Prince Rupert believed to be related to a fentanyl overdose as well as multiple non-fatal overdoses.
Fentanyl is a powerful drug believed to be 100 times more potent than morphine and has proven to be fatal in many communities throughout BC.

34 year old Jeremiah Dylan Pilgrim and 26 year old Caitlyn Ashley Nelson of Kitimat are each facing two counts of Possession for the Purpose of trafficking and are to appear in Prince Rupert Court on September 30th.
