Prince George, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks have  released  details of their training camp  session in Prince George, and it will be a  very busy weekend.

It will kick off with a  Town Hall  Breakfast  from  7:30 – 9 am on the  18th  at the Civic Centre.  Canucks President Trevor Linden and GM Jim Benning will be  on hand. Tickets are available  through the P.G.Chamber of Commerce.

The players will be split into two groups with the first hitting the  ice  at the CN Centre  at 9 am on the 18th.  The second group will be on the ice at 11:20. There are  still  some  day passes  for the on-ice session available,   they are just $5  each  with proceeds to the Canucks for Kids Fund  to support grassroots minor hockey  in the Prince George region..Tickets can be secured through Ticketmaster.ca or by calling 1-855-985-5000.

Outside the CN Centre,  it’s the Party in the Parking Lot,  with games, food, ,entertainment, music.  On Saturday there will be a pancake breakfast and a special “Kids Only” media conference  after the  final on-ice session.

Then there’s the Coaches Hot Stove,  that will have Canucks Assistant coaches, and members of the Prince George Cougars coaching staff hosting a free coaches hot stove to talk about  hockey related topics such as goaltending, making the most of practice time, diet  and nutrition and player development.  It is set for 3 pm on Saturday in the KIN 1 lounge and is open to minor hockey coaches, parents and players.   If you want to attend the  ‘Hot Stove’  you are asked to go to  Canucks.com  to register.
