Council Starts With Hockey Puns
Prince George B.C.- Decked out in Vancouver Canucks jerseys, Mayor Lyn Hall and Council kicked off the regular meeting all abuzz about the Vancouver Canucks training camp taking place later this week.
“With the federal election and the Canucks training camp there are sure to be a lot of left wingers and right wingers in town” joked Mayor Hall.
Councilor Brian Skakun says while there was no goalie on scene, “The puck stops here”.
Mayor Hall then thanked staff for “stick handling” their way to may this training camp happen.
Earlier today Mayor Hall declared this Canucks week in Prince George and encouraged residents to wear their Canucks jerseys this Friday and join him and Canucks President Hockey Operations Trevor Linden at 9:30 in the morning for an official welcome and the raising of the Canucks flag at City Hall.
