Dog Left for Dead in Diaper Box
Terrace, B.C. – Mounties are asking for the public’s help after a dog was left to die in a diaper box in the woods near Terrace last week.
Constable Aaron Muzzerall estimates the dog had been left for at least two days and was found alive, but just barely.
He says the incident was brought to the attention of police after the dog was discovered Sunday afternoon by a person out walking their dog near the Copper River.
Muzzerall says the dog was then transported to Kitimat where it was seen by a veterinarian and found to be severely dehydrated and suffering from an eye infection along with other health complications.
In the end, he says the decision was made to have the dog euthanized.
“An animal should never be treated this badly and have to suffer like this. Owning a pet comes with it a responsibility to take care of it,” says Muzzerall.
As a result of this incident, the Terrace RCMP are now investigating this crime and ask anyone with information to call them at 250-638-7400 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

This poor dog was left to die in a diaper box! How sad is that!
There are boxes of all sizes, some even big enough for a full grown adult! I find myself feeling that it’s a shame that we can’t find the person responsible and then leave them in a box somewhere!

exact same thing happened at the end of my property. Someone left a dead dog in a cardboard box, we found him in the spring and buried him.
Was the dog from Syria? That will get people raising money and cute little meetings.

You know I sometimes wonder about the intelligence of certain people and the way that they treat animals, cruel and unforgiving. To train a dog, first you have to be smarter than the dog. IM telling you if you give an animal your unconditional love and attention you will have a fiercely loyal companion for many, many years. IF you doubt this for one moment just try this; lock your wife and dog in the trunk of your car for 1 hour and comeback and open the trunk.Then you will see whos the happiest to see you.
I don’t own a pet, for the same reason that I don’t have the time to give to the pet.
