Regional District Looks at Issue of Secondary Suites

Tuesday, September 15, 2015 @ 2:47 PM

Prince George, B.C. – The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is looking at a possible amendment to its zoning bylaw to deal with the issue of secondary suites and wants  your input.

The possible change would address the issue of secondary suites on parcels of land that are 0.8 hectares ( 2 acres) or larger, but are not recreational properties.

The amendment would cover properties under the Regional District jurisdiction that are not within the municipal boundaries of Prince George, McBride, Valemount or Mackenzie.

In order to gather public input on the amendment, a survey has been developed which can be accessed either online  or in hard copy at a number of open house sessions that have been scheduled:

  • September 29, 2015: Pineview Community Hall 7:00 – 8:30pm
