Before they strap on the blades though, there is a special community breakfast townhall session at the Civic Centre where Canucks President Hockey Operations Trevor Linden will be among the honoured guests.
Oh but that’s not all.
There will be a flag raising at City Hall at 9:30 this morning, and then there’s no shortage of activities to fire up Canuck fever.
For $5 a day ( proceeds to Canucks for Kids in support of minor hockey in P.G.) you can attend the on ice sessions (tickets available through ticketmaster)
On Saturday, Save On Foods is putting on a pancake breakfast at the CN Centre parking lot. $6 dollar donation goes to BC Children’s Hospital.

Saturday night, the Prince George Cougars and Kamloops Blazers hit the ice for an exhibition game.

It would have been nice if some of these sessions were after school so students could attend and people getting off work too
4 of 6 sessions are after school stillsmokin
What are you talking about Rambleon ?
There are 6 sessions in total-2 each day,
1 at 9am and 1 at 11:30am (approx.)
If the Schools had not been given Free Tickets for the kids
I don’t know how many would of went on Friday.
PS-I am not counting the Goal Tenders Sessions.
After school is over for the weekend on Friday there are still 4 more sessions
I thought this was a Training Camp, not a sideshow!! The kids need to be in school!!
Just because you “don’t get it” Miss g doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t.
Some of these kids have met theie heros today.. The team they love.. They are only here through the weekend.. A professional hockey team doesn’t just have a 2-3 day training camp..
Just because it’s raining outside doesn’t mean you have to rain on these kids parade.
The teachers could have had their Pro-D day today, instead of the very first day of school, and the kids could have gone during the day today.
