Prince George, B.C. – The YMCA of Northern BC is holding a fundraiser today to ensure that every child in the community has the opportunity to take part in healthy and fun activities.

The Strong Kids Pancake Breakfast is on from 9 am to 12:30 pm today outside the Y building on Massey Drive.  For $5 you get pancakes, bananas and a choice of beverage.

One in five children at the Y in Prince George is financial subsidized to be able to participate.  CEO Amanda Alexander says “the YMCA Strong Kids campaign ensures that all children and youth have the ability to stay physically active and prevent or reduce the impact of chronic disease.  We are working to reduce social isolation by ensuring that all children and youth are given a place to come where they can have fun and belong.
