Dawson Creek, B.C. – Police are looking for witnesses following a drug related shooting in Dawson Creek.

It all started this morning just before 6 when police received a report of several people attempting to force their way into a residence in the 1000 block of 118th Avenue.

North District Corporal Dave Tyreman says police arrive on scene to find several shots had been fired at the residence though none of the people inside were injured.

He says it was likely a targeted incident as the people inside the home are suspected to be involved in the drug trade.

Witnesses are asked to call the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700.
