Literacy Prince George Hires New Outreach Coordinator
Prince George, B.C. – Literacy Prince George and the Prince George Literacy Advisory Committee have announced a new hire.
Carolyn Tiefensee is the organization’s new Literacy Outreach Coordinator, replacing the recently retired Helen Domshy.
“Literacy Prince George is responsible for co-ordination and literacy networking, advocating for literacy and the delivery of programs that are requested by our community,” says Committee Co-Chair Janet Marren. “The Committee is excited that Carolyn will be working with us to develop and implement programs for adults and families in Prince George.”
Tiefensee is a community educator, previous adult literacy program coordinator and long-time member of the Prince George Literacy Advisory Committee.
“One of my first goals along with the Committee will be to build our new brand in the community and impress upon each member of our city that anyone can improve their own literacy skills and anyone with the desire can assist others in improving theirs; literacy is life!”
