This after the Province signed an agreement with the Lheidli T’enneh and the Caledonia Ramblers Hiking Society last summer to ensure the Ancient Forest – called Chun Toh Whud U Jud in the Lheidli dialect- is protected and, in the long-term, designated as an official protected area.

Hopefully it will be called “the ancient forest” instead of the complex Indian name that only a fraction of people understand.
Ancient Forest/Chun Toh Whud U Jud
Problem solved.
yeah,I’m just waiting to see if the name changes to suit the natives ….again.
I am wondering what the provincial government is going to do so they can make some money off of this.
I’m surprised the First Nations even had a name for this place. Is there any indication that they lived, foraged or hunted in the vicinity? I can find no archaeological data on the area. But I’m no gus.
