Prince George, B.C – This year’s Inside Ride cancer fundraiser has been deemed a major success.

Sandra Blackwell, coordinator for annual giving at the Canadian Cancer Society, says $24,000 was raised last night at the Northern Sport Centre, up substantially from the $18,000 brought in last year.

“It’s a huge boost, we’re so pleased and so grateful with everyone’s support from Prince George.”

She says all the proceeds go to sending kids from northern B.C. to Camp Goodtimes in the Lower Mainland.

“This will help families when they travel to the camp, 100% of their costs will be covered.”
