Pre-Halloween Treats for the Family

Saturday, October 24, 2015 @ 3:51 AM

Prince George, B.C. – In a week’s time kids will be showing the politicians how you “really’ knock on doors as they trick or treat on Halloween.  Because they’ll be busy that evening, there are a couple of events taking place this weekend which should provide plenty of entertainment.

The folks at the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum are putting on a Halloween Fairy Tale from 11 am to 3 pm today.  Kids are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume and head to the museum where they’ll have pumpkins for the picking, crafts, goody bags and some surprises.  Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Later on today, from 3 pm to 8 pm, the Huble Homestead is hosting its Halloween Spooktacular with a haunted maze, magic shows, crafts and activities, hot drinks and snacks.  Again the kids are encouraged to dress up in their costumes along with warm clothing and a flashlight as the event is outdoors.

Admission is $10 per family, with a tour of the House of Horrors for $3.
