Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP is seeking the public’s help in locating a man involved in a early morning collision Monday.

Corporal Craig Douglass says the crash occurred at approximately 6:45 at 1st Avenue, west of Victoria Street.

He says it involved a full size pick-up and a minivan which lost control in the snow causing it to spin into the path of the pick-up.

After the collision, Douglass says the driver of the minivan exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Police tracked the driver through the snow all the way to the area of 7th and Brunswick Street but were unable to find him.

The driver of the pick-up sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Following the crash, the minivan was reported stolen from an address on Highway 97 in the northern part of the city.

Douglass says the suspect can only be described as a male wearing a high visibility shirt or jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Top notch police work, as usual. How do you lose a guy in this downtown, with a fresh dump of snow to spot his tracks?

A typical theft from out of town, grabbing a ride into town.

They took their own advice and stayed off the streets.

This guy made some pretty good time if he got all the way to 7th and Brunswick! I find the high viz shirt interesting. Was he late for work?

The timing of the report of theft seems coincidental.

metalman.

Wonder if the report of theft was made from a cell phone or pay phone.
Hope the other driver got a good look at the one who ran.
