BC Liquor Stores Syrian Refugee Campaign Wraps
Prince George, B.C.- The BC Liquor stores have tallied the dollars donated to aid Syrian refugees, and the total has topped the $70 thousand dollar mark.
BC Liquor stores collected the donations over a month ( Sept. 16 to October 17th) on behalf of the Red Cross. It is expected the donations will be matched by the Federal Government which pledged to match each dollar donated by individual Canadians, up to $100 million, until the end of this year.
The donations have helped the Red Cross provide food, water, household items and health services to Syrians impacted by violence and unrest in their homeland, as well as to neighbouring countries affected by the conflict and resulting influx of refugees.
The Provincial Government has also pledged $1 million dollars to the cause.

They get a free ride when they get to Canada anyways, so I would rather give my money to local people who need it, not illegal migrants.
