Quesnel, B.C. – Traffic has been brought to a crawl at the north end of Quesnel, as RCMP and Conservation Officers have the centre lane of the highway blocked.RCMP had received a call earlier this morning that a truck had hit a deer at that location.
While the driver of the truck was not hurt and damage to the truck was minimal, Conservation Officers were not able to locate the injured deer.
Still, officers blocked the centre lane of that stretch of road and it appears they are taking the opportunity to conduct random vehicle checks.

Good to see the CO’s doing game checks!
They were looking at firearms as well as having hunters unwrap game they had killed. I asked the cop in the line and she said they were looking for anyone who had done anything illegal.
