Then, at the end of the day on Monday November 2nd, Masich Place Stadium will close to the public. Those who have used the track for their daily walks, are reminded the City also offers walking opportunities at the CN Centre and at the Coliseum.
City Crews are also shutting down or winterizing some public washroom facilities such as those at Duchess Park and Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.
Everything will be open again next spring when the weather is more favourable.

If you’re walking, wear something hi vis and stay off the road. If you’re biking, same thing hi vis, and stay off the road. Some N driver who doesn’t have any experience behind the wheel may take you off the road.
And a big shout out to those people with snowblowers who take the time to clear accesses to parks. Woof!
I agree Grizzly. I was just thinking that this morning…I “saw” around 12 people walking on my way to work this morning. At least half of them were partialy or fully dressed in dark clothing (one complete with dark toque). Even with adequate lighting next to the sidewalks and both my headlights working, a bit of rain on the windshield made them almost invisible until approximately 25-35 meters away. I sometimes wonder if a portion of the population has lost it’s sense of self preservation. Good to see that there are alternatives to outdoor walking trails provided by the City.
“Some N driver”, or ANY driver not paying attention. Not every accident is caused by N drivers.
