Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP has called off its manhunt this afternoon.
RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass says it all started after they received a report of two male suspects breaking into vehicles near the intersection of Highway 97 and Monterey Road in the Hart at around 11:15.
After the pair was confronted by witnesses, he says they fled into a wooded area forcing police to deploy a fixed wing aircraft and a Police Service Dog team.
One suspect, a 27 year old prolific offender from Prince George, was located and arrested.
The search for the second suspect was called off at approximately 2:30 though Douglass says the investigation is ongoing.
No names have been released.

Prolific, heh overpaid judges proud of your selfes
Prolific offenders are usually held in custody for a judge to take a look at them, and not the JJP sitting in Burnaby.
Hopefully the Crown can implore the judge enough to keep this one in for longer than a week or two.
It would be nice to see the search costs come out of this goof’s pocket, but that’s a dream, not gonna happen.
I think “JUSTICE” wouldn’t be so hard to come by in this country if our judges were elected & not appointed by some politician.
Have our police “chief” elected also. Would be more action for local concerns.
