Cougars Acquire Goaltender
Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars have added another goalie to their roster.
They did so via trade today acquiring 6′ 3″, 185 pound Nick McBride from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for a 2017 second round WHL Bantam Draft pick.
The 1997-born McBride has dressed in 64 career regular season games with the Raiders compiling a record of 25-25-1-2 with a goals-against-average of 3.22 and a save percentage of .900.
McBride has also been a star off the ice as he was named the 2014-15 WHL Scholastic Player of the Year.
Last season, McBride was ranked the seventh best draft eligible North American born goalie by NHL Central Scouting.
He joins a crowded crease in Prince George, who already have two goalies minding the team’s net, Ty Edmonds and Mack Shields.
