Two Violent Incidents in Dawson Creek
Dawson Creek, B.C. – Two incidents which happened over the past couple of weeks in Dawson Creek may be related, or they may not.Yesterday, RCMP officers responded to a call about shots being fired at a residence in the 1500 block of 99th Avenue in Dawson Creek. According to police, a lone gunman approached the residence and fire three shotgun rounds into the house. No one hurt, and the three occupants of the home say they believe it was a case of mistaken identity. RCMP are now doing a complete forensic examination of that scene but are aware there has been drug activity in the neighbourhood.
It is not yet clear if that shots fired incident is related to a kidnapping and assault that took place on October 24th. A man was kidnapped from the Taylor pub , taken to Dawson Creek, beaten, bear sprayed and stabbed in the legs. He managed to escape and was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Police are having some challenges with the two investigations as those involved are not co-operating with police.
Anyone with any information on either case is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
