Tree of Lights Campaign Kicks Off Today
Prince George, B.C. – It’s become as much a sign of the season as snow. The Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights campaign kicks off this morning at the Coast Inn of the North.
(At right, tree of lights all aglow atop the Coast Inn of the North during last year’s campaign – photo 250news archive)From 6 this morning until 10 a.m. in the ballroom at the Coast Inn, a minimum donation of $5 will get you a buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and croissant.
For each $5 donated, a light on the tree that sits atop the Coast Inn, will be lit.
Last year, the campaign raised $32,972 dollars. Each and every cent of the donations go towards programs and services offered by the Salvation Army in Prince George. That includes the food bank and emergency disaster service.,
