Police block  access to 1100 block of Ahbau – photo 250News

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George are asking the  public to  stay clear of  the 1100 block of  Ahbau Street in Prince George as they continue an investigation.

The Prince George RCMP with the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team are  on scene at a residence in that block.

Two persons were arrested outside the residence without incident.  The additional police resources have been brought in as a precautionary measure.  There may be firearms or other weapons in the residence.

This concern MAY lead the Prince George RCMP to close a portion of Ahbau & Dahl Streets and to evacuate businesses and other residences in close proximity to the residence.  If these actions are necessary, they are only expected to last a couple of hours while officers execute a search warrant and clear the residence.

The local elementary school has been provided situational awareness and is not in the evacuation zone.
