Prince George, B.C. – Kelly Road graduate Brandon Deschamps is now a Vanier Cup champion.

The running back from Prince George figured prominently in the UBC Thunderbirds 26-23 win over the Montreal Carabins yesterday rushing for 79 yards including a second half 44 yard touchdown run.

The T-Birds won the game on a last second field goal. It was UBC’s first Vanier Cup victory in 18 years.
