Prince George, B.C. – Media were given a sneak preview of the largest nativity display in northern, B.C. today.

‘Faces of the Nativity’ is put on by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and includes over 600 nativities from around the world.

Many of the nativities come courtesy of Linda Gurney, who admitted she gets swept up in the holiday spirit every year.

“Nativities remind me of Christ. Inviting him into our homes and our hearts,” she said.

“I have eight children and my kids know how much I love nativities and so they’ve all been giving them to me if they go to Mexico or Hawaii or Europe. That’s how I ended up with so many and this gives me a chance to display them in this exhibit.”

The event has been hosted by the church for over two decades now.

“It started in 1994,” said public affairs director Emily Albertson. “There has been a couple of years we didn’t do it.”

The church is located at 4180 5th Ave. Admission is free.
