are they trenching the riverbed by cottonwood
No. They are cutting up a log jam at the lifting section of the old bridge.
Thanks. I thought it looked like a pile of gravel. I’m guessing it is to reduce the risk of an ice jam. They should dig a 30′ trench down that whole section
Carpenter: Where to start and end and how deep the trench be?
I agree in principle, in terms of preventing the formation of ice in all that very wide, very shallow water at the confluence of the 2 rivers, but I think that the river-s would soon fill any size of trench with gravel and silt.

And this has to do with the crash, how?? Hope the person injured is ok.
Exactly JL5. Mostly this site attracts impotent weirdos, that wish to share their lack of actual knowledge.
Notwithstanding ignorant comments from random characters, and anonymous well wishes (who benefits from that?) deviation from the original topic signals the opportunity (need?) for a general forum on this site,
ala’ Friday Free For All, but available every day of the week.
Those who have something to say, suggest, or ask would have a forum.
Those who want to avoid the unknown or are offended by content that deviates from the topic could simply avoid the problem.
