Prince George, B.C.-  Prince George RCMP  are hoping to find the rightful owner of some  coins believed to be stolen property.

earlier this year,   Prince George RCMP  seized about  50 old and rare coins believed to be  stolen property.  They have been trying to find the rightful owners since that time, and have come up empty.

Investigators are now turning to the public to  see if the rightful owner will  step forward.

The rightful owner will have to  describe the coins in detail in order to  have police turn them over,  but  Police will say most  of the  coins are  older Canadian or American coins with some international, commemorative and specialty coins  included in the collection.
