Weekend Partyers Lose Driving Privileges

Prince George, B.C.- Another busy weekend on the roads for Prince George RCMP as the CounterAttack program continues.
Over the course of the weekend, 4 drivers lost their driving privileges for 90 days after blowing a ‘fail’ on a roadside breathalyser.
Those four drivers also had their vehicles impounded for 30 days.
There are plenty of options for partyers to get themselves and their vehicles home safely. They can choose to have a designated driver, utilize Operation Red Nose services, or failing those two options, there is always taxi service or public transit.
The Christmas CounterAttack program continues through to the New Year.

There must be an app on my phone, that I could take a breathalizer test of myself before hitting the road ???
Pinacle: Methinks you are very much part of the problem!
What would you blow into? The charging port?
I for one, am very happy that they got these four off the road!
The app is called. taxi. If you think you you check to see if you are over the limit then guessing you are.. Taxis are cheap when compared to the alternative.
Try rupissed.com As long as you can remember when you started drinking, finished, and how much you drank, they can give you a pretty good idea. If you can’t remember that information – you are likely impaired.
There’s also an app called BAC for android that pretty much does the same thing.
I have an app, it’s called playing it safe / common sense. Did I have a drink? If the answer is ‘yes’, I don’t drive.
Ski, gotta be careful with that. I can have 6 beer at 5.5% and I’ll blow
.05. My troopmate had two to .05. Everybody metabolizes differently.
Although apps are a good idea, alcohol builds up in some, not in others.
I like the Apps called Taxi or Red Nose, then no worries, unless the cab drivers impaired, LOL.
Too bad to see some people still think they’re god when they’ve had a few.
If they could only see through the eyes of those that pick up the pieces.
Grizzly2: Very true! Maybe having to go out and helping with some impaired driving accidents, would open some eyes or turn on some lights.
Culpability begins the moment you leave for the party or bar.
Verrry stupid to not have a designate or taxi # on your quick dial.
@ pinacle01 – There is a device/app for your iphone that does this, actually a few. It plugs into your phone, and you can blow into it. They sell it in both Apple stores in Vancouver, or online. 59$
