City Snow Clearing Making Progress

Prince George, B.C. – Crews with the City of Prince George are conducting snow and ice operations on routes throughout the city today. Graders and loaders are clearing priority 1 and priority 2 routes.

Snow plows and trucks continue to carry out operations, including laying down traction and de-icing material on routes, such as:

  • University Way
  • Ospika Blvd. from Tyner Rd. to Range Rd.
  • Foothills Blvd. north of Chief Lake Rd.
  • North Nechako Rd.
  • Chief Lake Rd.
  • Routes in the west, east, and central Hart Hwy.
  • The Blackburn area on Foreman and Denacola Rds.
  • College Heights including Westgate, Hillcrest, Lalonde, and Western Acres
  • Routes throughout the bowl area

Sidewalk machines are clearing sidewalks today both north and south of 15th Ave.

Full operations will continue through day and night shifts this weekend.

Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions at all times.

In any event they are doing a good job of keeping the roads clear. Hopefully they will continue to do so for the balance of winter.
