5 Face Charges

Prince George, B.C.- Five people   have been arrested  following a recent crime spree in Prince George, and numerous charges are expected to be  approved.

The Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit with the assistance of the Detachment’s General Duty Section and Police Dog Section have arrested five suspects at two different locations and times since last Thursday.

An adult male and youth female were arrested on Thursday December 17th following the recovery of a stolen vehicle off Tabor Boulevard in Prince George.  Multiple charges in relation to the stolen vehicle and other property related crimes are anticipated.

Two adult males and an adult female were arrested Saturday December 19th along Highway 97 at the south end of Prince George.  These arrests involved two stolen trucks, a pursuit, a spike belt and a police service dog tracking a suspect over two kilometres in deep snow.  Again, multiple property related charges are anticipated.

As a result of these five arrests, approximately a dozen previously stolen firearms have been recovered. All five are well known to police & to each other and are believed to be responsible for many property related offences in the Prince George area over the last month.

Due to the complexity of these investigations and the charges associated from multiple investigations, further details will be released soon.
