Prince George, B.C. – Ty Edmonds recorded his third shutout of the season to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 1-0 victory over the Victoria Royals in front of 2,717 fans last night at CN Centre.

Jesse Gabrielle scored the game winner 1:16 into the third period with Chase Witala and Brogan O’Brien picking up the helpers. The Cougars outshot the visitors 41-38.

The win puts Prince George into a second place tie with Victoria in the B.C. division (though PG has two games in hand).

The teams face off again in game two of the weekend doubleheader tonight at 7.

Prior to puck drop,  the Cougars will honour former players Eric Brewer and Dr. Jeff Zorn.
