City of Prince George Looking for Top Volunteers
Prince George, B.C. – Know of any exemplary volunteers? Then the City of Prince George wants to hear from you.
Starting today, the City is accepting nominations through March 7 at 4:30 pm for anyone who has “displayed outstanding civic service and generosity.”
The following awards will bestowed at the annual Civic Appreciation Dinner at the Civic Centre on April 23:
Recreation Award: Recognizes contribution to the development of recreation and/or
culture in Prince George for a minimum of 10 years.
Community Service Award: Recognizes contribution to the development of the
community service scene in Prince George for a minimum of 10 years.
Youth of the Year Award: Recognizes school involvement, including academic standing,
extra-curricular activities, and contributions to the community through volunteering.
Outstanding Volunteer Award: Recognizes outstanding contribution to the development
of Prince George through volunteer efforts to a number of organizations, groups, or
disciplines. Candidates for this award must have volunteered to various organizations
for a minimum of 15 years.
Access Award of Merit: Recognizes a group, individual, or business that has made a
significant contribution to improving accessibility within the City of Prince George.
