Prince George, B.C. – The search for a person who went into the Nechako River, has been suspended until further notice.
The RCMP and Prince George Search and rescue have been trying to locate a person who was reported to have entered the river near the John Hart bridge around 12:30 this morning.
The only thing recovered from the area, was clothing. Under the bridge, police recovered a green, large, or extra large Bugatti men’s winter jacket, and a grey/green toque with a pom-pom.
The search was suspended overnight because of darkness and ice conditions on the river, but resumed this morning at daylight with a helicopter brought in to assist.
The search has now been suspended until further notice.
