Prince George, B.C. – The BC Coroners Service is investigating yesterday’s fatal avalanche in the Torpy Mountain range east of Prince George (see previous story here).
The avalanche killed one person, who Prince George RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass confirms was an adult male.
He also notes the other four snowmobilers who survived uninjured, “had experience and were properly equipped.”
Douglass cannot confirm the dead man’s name or where he was from noting that information is now in the hands of the BC Coroners Service.
