Drug Bust Yields Shotgun

Prince George, B.C. – Another drug bust in Prince George.

RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass says this one occurred last Thursday and included the arrest of four people along with the seizure of drugs, cash and a shotgun.

The drugs included a significant amount of crystal meth, cocaine, and heroin.

He says Justin Edward Pawluck and Alan Troy Baker were arrested in a parking lot located near the corner of 15th Avenue and Central Street West as part of a Drug Trafficking investigation.

Douglas says both are 32 years old, from Prince George, and well known to police. In fact he says Baker is on the RCMP’s prolific offender list. He says a 19 year old female and a 20 year were also arrested.

Douglass says the arrests led to officers acquiring and executing a search warrant at a residence located on Hopkins Road which yielded a 12 gauge shotgun and further evidence of drug trafficking.

He notes the loaded gun was found where two of the three children living in the home could easily have accessed it.

As a result of his arrest, Pawluck is facing six charges including two drug trafficking charges and unlicensed possession of a  firearm.

Baker is facing four charges, including three for drug trafficking. Both men appeared in court yesterday and have been remanded until their next court appearances on February 3.

The 19 year old female was released on a promise to appear with the possibility of drug charges being approved at a later date. The 20 year old Prince George female was released without charge.

The drug bust was one of two in Prince George last week. For information on the other, click here.
