Avalanche Victim Identified

Prince George, B.C. – The B.C. Coroners Service has released the name of the person who died in an avalanche east of Prince George on the weekend.He was 41 year old Angelo Kenneth (Ken) Carpino.
Carpino was one of a party of five snowmobilers that had travelled to the Torpy Trail riding area in the McGregor Mountain Range in Evanoff Provincial Park, 120 kilometres east of Prince George
At about 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, a large avalanche struck, burying Mr. Carpino.
Other members of the party were able to locate Mr. Carpino shortly afterward and dig him out, but they were unable to resuscitate him.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
