Integris Credit Union & Two Rivers Gallery Announce Partnership
Prince George, B.C. – Integris Credit Union has announced a three year funding commitment worth $45,000 towards Two Rivers Gallery’s MakerLab.
“We’re thrilled. We couldn’t be more happy,” says Two Rivers managing director Carolyn Holmes. “It’s a nice sustainable amount of money so that we can keep MakerLab going.”
So what exactly is MakerLab?
“For us, MakerLab is all about creativity but not just what you’d picture at an art gallery, it’s not just painting on the wall, it’s coming to classes to learn how to draw, it’s creativity in its widest scope,” says Holmes.
“Integris is all in when it comes to enriching our community,” adds David Bird, president and CEO of Integris. “At Integris we encourage curiosity, creativity and community and this partnership is the perfect manifestation of people and place coming together to support rich cultural and creative learning in our region.”
And if you haven’t checked out MakerLab yet, Holmes says tomorrow night would be a good time to do so.
“In conjunction with the city’s winter celebrations, MakerLab is free, so if you come between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. we’re going to launch the Integris partnership. There will be a few speeches, an introduction to our staff and then everybody will be able to try their hand at something.”

So will the name change?
@oldman1 – name change?
No, the Two Rivers Gallery remains the Two Rivers Gallery and the MakerLab remains the MakerLab.
Integris is doing what we can to enrich the experience of makers and the space … we’re just pleased to be part of it. :-)
Glad it will remain as is!
