Another Special Day , A New Look for Tree in Cottonwood Island Park

Prince George, B.C. – The mystery tree decorators have been at it again.
The small tree that was decked out for Valentine’s Day last month, (see previous story) has been given a new look, this time, in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day.
The tree’s previous hearts and flowers decorations were removed after February 14th, and now, the tree is “in the green” with shamrocks, green garland, and even a little “pot of gold”
as shown in the image at right.
The tree has become a billboard of sorts, heralding the next recognized day of celebration.
The identity of the those who do the decorating is not known, (leprechauns perhaps?) as the decorating seems to happen under the cloak of darkness with the tree all dressed up in new finery when early morning park goers arrive.
The decorators also remove all the decorations when the special day has passed.
So, we can expect some sort of Easter adornment for the tree once March 17th has come and gone.
