Thursday, March 10, 2016 @ 2:52 PM
Prince George, B.C. – Power has been restored to just over 300 BC Hydro customers in the Nukko Lake area.
The outage was caused by high winds with peak gusts hitting around 70 km/hr today. The high winds also caused lights to flicker in many households in the Hart.
Prince George isn’t the only affected region, as power restoration efforts continue for about 65,000 customers across the Fraser Valley.
Looking ahead, Environment Canada is calling for strong wind gusts, up to 80 km/hr with the risk of a thunderstorm.
