Widespread Power Outage To End This Afternoon

Monday, March 14, 2016 @ 4:54 PM

Prince George, B.C. – Officials with B.C. Hydro now say it will be approximately 5 o’clock this afternoon when power is restored to roughly 10,000 customers north of the Nechako River.

Work to repair a broken cross arm on a transmission pole and damage done to a power pole by a vehicle at another location has taken longer than expected.  As well the repairs must be tested.

People in the Hart, Nukko Lake and Ness Lake areas have been affected by the outage which began around 1:3opm.  Again, BC Hydro believes the repairs and testing should be completed and power restored shortly.

Don’t you just hate it when they say five ,then eight thirty , nothing . I bet there are a few if not more bright lights with backup out there .

Being that you’re off grid it shouldn’t really be bothering you?

Here on the Hart the power came back on about 5pm.
