· Limit the amount of tobacco products and lottery tickets at the cash register area;
· Ensure surveillance cameras are working and properly located. Consult your security provider or the RCMP’s Community Policing Section for assistance with this;
· If you do not have surveillance cameras, please consider purchasing a high quality system and have it professionally installed. Again, consult your security provider or the RCMP’s Community Policing Section for assistance with this;
· Schedule extra staff whenever possible, especially at night;
· Ensure proper lighting both inside and outside the business;
· Advise staff of robbery procedures including calling police before calling the owner/manager.
If you find yourself a victim of a robbery:
· Be calm and observant;
· Cooperate with the suspect(s), as your safety is most important;
· Call 9-1-1 as soon as it is safe to do;
· Provide police with the description of the suspect(s), the suspect(s) direction of travel, mode of transportation, vehicle description (if applicable) and any other information.

5 armed robberies within 6 weeks? Desperate or brazen..The RCMP need to bring out their best K-9 units and track this guy down (maybe let the puppies “nibble” away at his cockyness).
Get this guy off the streets before someone gets hurt.
