Police Incident in Quesnel – Update
Quesnel, B.C. – Mounties have released additional information regarding this morning’s police incident in Quesnel.
North District Corporal Dave Tyreman says it all started at around 3:30 this morning when a man police believe was armed with a handgun attended a residence in the 2200 block of Cedar Avenue.
He says police set up a perimeter around the residence and evacuated surrounding homes as a result.
At around 8:30 this morning Tyreman says Mounties “were able to have the suspect exit the residence where he was taken into custody without incident or injuries to anyone.”
He says members of the North District Emergency Response Team, Quesnel RCMP, and Prince George Police Dog Services all attended the scene.
The Quesnel RCMP is thanking individuals who were evacuated for their patience and cooperation during what they’ve described as “a volatile situation.”
